SH 27 is currently closed following a serious two-vehicle crash.
The crash was reported to Police at 9:40am.
One person is reported to be seriously injured, and two others are reported to have sustained moderate injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit is attending and the road is expected to be closed for some time.
Diversions are in place at Kereone Road, Maungakawa Road and Ngarua Road, and motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel.
