State Highway 1 by the Tawa off-ramp is completely closed following a single-vehicle crash.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 6.20am.
One person received serious injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance services.
A diversion is in place closing the Tawa off-ramp. Motorists are to join SH 59 at Mungavin Ave or the Kenepuru Interchange.
