When smartphones become ‘the third’ in relationships

There was a time when your partner might have been the last thing you’d see before going to sleep at night, and the first thing you reach for in the morning.

But now the smartphone is taking the place of couple connection and has become an uninvited third presence in many partnerships, US relationship therapist Baya Voce says.
