24 MARCH 2021FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEThe Taxpayers’ Union is slamming the Prime Minister’s claims published by RNZ that the High Court Statement of Claim does “not raise any issues that had not already been traversed”.“This is extraordinary,” says Jordan Williams, a spokesman for the Taxpayers’ Union.  “Has the PM not read the material? Has she been blindsided by the Speaker.  Or has post-truth politics hit the Beehive?”“The Speaker threatened to continue a ruse and claim someone was a rapist, apparently knowing it not to be true.  For the PM to claim with a straight face that isn’t the hallmark of a ‘bully’ speaks volumes.”“Where does threatening to lie to a court to slap down a legitimate defamation claim fit in with claims of ‘kindness’?”“She’s cuddling a corpse, and it’s costing taxpayers.”For the benefit of the Prime Minister and her press officers, our staff have created this helpful timeline to assist with her understanding of the new information.
