Police can confirm two people have died following a crash on Main North Road/SH 1, Sefton this morning.
The two-vehicle crash happened shortly after 10am.
Two people in one vehicle died at the scene, while a third person in that vehicle was moderately injured.
Two people in the second vehicle received moderate to serious injuries.
The road remains closed while the scene is examined, with diversions at Wyllies Road and Amesbury Road.
