State Highway 3 south of Tongapōrutu is currently closed due to a serious crash.
The two-vehicle crash occurred on Mokau Road just north of Okau Road shortly after 5:30pm.
Initial reports indicate there are serious injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit has been notified.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, and follow any traffic diversions.
