A police investigation into the assault of a store owner in Porirua on Friday 6 October is ongoing.
Police have spoken to a 15-year-old male in relation to the assault and he has been referred to Youth Services.
The victim of the assault remains in hospital in a critical condition and Police are working to support his family.
We know this incident has caused considerable concern for retailers in the Porirua CBD.
Police will maintain an increased presence in the area to provide reassurance to those retailers and our wider community.
