Police are responding to a serious vehicle incident in Waikanae Beach.
The single vehicle incident occurred on Te Moana Road at the intersection with Lavinia Grove shortly after 11am.
Initial reports indicate one person has been seriously injured, and a helicopter has been called.
The Serious Crash Unit has been notified.
Te Moana Road is closed at the intersection with Lavinia Grove and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
