Police are responding to a one vehicle crash on State Highway 35 at Tirohanga east of Ōpōtiki.
The crash was reported around 8:15pm.
One person is in a serious condition and is being transported via helicopter to hospital.
Serious crash have been advised.
The road is closed, and diversions are in place.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
