Diversions are in place on Weymouth Road, following a crash earlier this evening.
Police were advised at 9.05pm that a pedestrian had been struck by a car at the intersection of Blanes Road and Weymouth Road.
The pedestrian has serious injuries and has been transported to hospital.
A scene examination is being carried out at the crash site and motorists are asked to follow the directions of emergency services staff.
