A driver put his foot in it last night after he allegedly ran from Police and was allegedly located with methamphetamine in his sock.
At around 11.05pm, officers stopped a Nissan Note travelling on Māngere Road, Ōtāhuhu.

“Ground units attempted to locate the man, before calling in the assistance of the Police Eagle Helicopter overhead.
“Eagle quickly identified the suspect hiding in the bushes of an industrial site on Fort Richard Road.”
The man was arrested and taken to Manukau Police Station where he was found in be in breach of his bail conditions.
“A search of his person located a zip lock bag of white powder in the man’s sock.
“The bag was seized to be destroyed,” Acting Senior Sergeant Hunkin says.
A 39-year-old man will appear in Manukau District Court today, charged with failure to remain stopped, possession of methamphetamine and breach of bail.
