Police are asking for the public’s help after a man was assaulted and left injured in Central Wellington last weekend.

About 1.45am on Sunday 25 August, emergency services were called to the intersection of Tory Street and Courtenay Place after a man was found unconscious after being assaulted.

He was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are now working to establish the full picture of what has occurred.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information about those involved is urged to come forward.
