Police are responding to a single vehicle crash on Waihi Whangamata Road, near Parakiwai Quarry Road, Whangamata.
The crash was reported around 6:30pm.
One person is in a critical condition and being transported to Waikato Hospital via helicopter.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
The road is blocked and motorists are advised to take an alternate route.
