Man arrested for burglary in Thames

One man has been arrested following two burglaries and several reports of a person seen in properties in the Thames residential area over the last week.

A 28-year-old man is due to appear in Hamilton District Court today on two burglary charges.

We would like to commend our Thames staff for their work towards a successful arrest and making the Thames community safer.

Police would like to thank the public’s support and assistance in providing important information to prevent crime and harm in our communities.
