Emergency services are in attendance at a bush fire in Waiotapu, Rotorua.
As a result, State Highway 5 is closed at both ends of Waiotapu Loop Road.
Detours are in place, and motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
The Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland has been evacuated as a precaution.
