Police can confirm that a person has died following a crash on State Highway 60 near the intersection with Mapua Drive.
Emergency services attended the crash involving a car and a motorcycle reported shortly after 2.30pm.
Sadly, one person has died.
The road is closed while Serious Crash Unit conduct a scene examination.
Diversions are place, motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
