Information sought following assault in Palmerston North

Palmerston North Police are seeking witnesses to an alleged assault on Monday 11 December on Main Street West, between The Square and George Street.

Around 8:20pm a teenage boy sustained non-life-threatening injuries from a knife.

Police have arrested and charged a local 39-year-old man with wounding with intent.

Police are aware that members of the public saw the incident, some administering first aid to the victim soon after the assault and thank those people for the assistance they offered.

Whilst some people have already identified themselves to Police, we are appealing for witnesses who have not done so to get in touch.
