Police can confirm a person has died following a single vehicle crash this morning on Clarke Road, Te Puna, Western Bay of Plenty.
The crash was reported shortly after 5.30am.
The road is closed on Clarke Road / SH2 and Clarke Road / Te Puna Station Road while emergency services attend.
People are advised to avoid the area.
The Serious Crash Unit is at the scene and an investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
