Police are responding to a serious crash on State Highway 1, near the Rotoaira Rd intersection, Taupo.
The crash was reported at 10.05am.
The road is closed and motorists are advised to take an alternate route.
Initial reports indicate the occupants of the two vehicles are injured.
The Serious Crash Unit have been advised.
