Emergency services are responding to a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Victoria Street and London Street, Hamilton.
Police were called at around 11.55am.
One person is being transported to hospital in a serious condition and one other person has received minor injuries.
The road is currently closed while emergency services work at the scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and take an alternate route.
