Person arrested following burglary, Te Aroha

One person has been arrested following a burglary at a commercial premises on Kenrick Street, Te Aroha this morning.

Police were called at around 1.55am after two people broke into the premises and stole an unknown amount of goods and money.

The pair then fled the scene on foot a short time later.

Following an investigation into the incident, an 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged with burglary.

He is due to appear in Hamilton District Court today (6 July).

An investigation remains ongoing, and Police are not ruling out further arrests.
