A truck has overturned and is disrupting traffic travelling on Manaia Road in Te Kouma, near Coromandel.
The road is down to one lane and traffic management is in place.
Motorists are advised that the traffic disruption is likely to remain for some time.
The driver is reported to be uninjured.
