Stop/Go traffic management is now in place at the scene of a fatal road crash on State Highway One in southern Marlborough this afternoon.

The State Highway was closed for just over two hours this afternoon (24 October) after a single-vehicle crash near Kekerengu, south of Ward, around three o’clock. It is now open to all vehicles.

The Police Serious Crash Unit is attending the scene, and the crash scene is subject to Stop/Go traffic control.

People travelling between Marlborough and Kaikoura should expect delays and factor this into their travel plans.

Waka Kotahi asks road users to drive carefully and follow traffic controls in place at the crash scene.
