Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on SH29, Lower Kaimai Range.
The crash, involving two vehicles, was reported at around 8am.
Initial indications suggest there are serious injuries.
The road will be closed for some time and traffic management is being put in place for cars.
These diversions are not suitable for trucks.
