Police were notified of a crash involving four vehicles in the Mount Victoria Tunnel blocking the city bound land (northbound) around 8:40am.
There are no reports of injury however the blockage is causing significant delays.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and remain patient when travelling in the area.
Arrangements are being made to tow the vehicles from the scene.
