Police advise motorists that Pakowhai Road is closed following a crash involving a single vehicle, reported to Police at 12.10pm.
Emergency services are in attendance and traffic management is in place.
Powerlines are down and the road will be closed until they are restored, which could take several hours.
Diversions are in place at the Brookfields Road and Gilbertson Road intersections with Pakowhai Road. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
