Emergency services are responding to a two vehicle crash on Tirau Road (SH1), Karapiro.
The crash was reported to Police at about 6.50am.
As a result, a vehicle is on fire and the northbound lane is closed.
There are no reports of significant injury.
While traffic is flowing slowly, motorists are asked to avoid the area or expect delays.
