Emergency services are at the scene of a serious two-vehicle crash on SH1, between SH5 and Centennial Drive, Warakei, Taupo.
Police were called about 9.50am.
Initial indications are there have been serious injuries.
The road is closed, with diversions in place.
Motorists should avoid the area if possible.
