Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a vehicle following a ‘near-miss’ incident on SH1 near Titri.

At around 6:50am on Wednesday 6 July, an unidentified white Toyota Hilux was travelling north on SH1 when it overtook a logging truck into an oncoming courier van.

The driver of the southbound courier van had to take evasive action, swerving off the road, rolling and then ending up on the opposite side of the road.

The driver of the van sustained minor injuries and is understandably shaken by this incident.

The incident was captured on footage by the logging truck.

This was extremely risky behaviour that put the lives of the ute driver and others in danger.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed a white Toyota Hilux travelling north on SH1 at around the time of the incident.

If anyone was any information that could assist us in identifying the vehicle, we urge them to contact us on 105 quoting file number 220708/2333.
