Bay of Plenty Police investigating the death of Eli Johnson in Whakamarama last month want to speak to the occupants of a vehicle in the area at the time.
Mr Johnson, 27, died at a Whakamarama property on Sunday 12 June and a homicide investigation is ongoing.
Detective Inspector Lew Warner says the investigation team continues to make progress and is working hard to identify all vehicles that were travelling in the Whakamarama and Te Puna areas at the time of Eli’s death.
The attached photo shows two vehicles of interest, in terms of gathering information about what happened to Mr Johnson.
“While we’ve since identified and spoken with the occupants of the white utility, we’d like the occupants of the silver sedan pictured to come forward and speak with us,” Detective Inspector Warner says.
Police would ask that the occupants of the silver sedan, or anyone who has information that may help, please contact Police via 105 and quote file number 220613/3065.
Information can also be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111 or www.crimestoppers-nz.org
