State Highway 41 Tokaanu is currently closed following an earlier crash involving a truck and trailer and a ute.
The crash, near the intersection of Te Ponanga Saddle Road, was reported to Police at about 12am.
The truck driver was uninjured however the driver of the ute is yet to be located.
Police are continuing to make enquiries to establish the location of the ute driver.
