The Tokanui-Gorge Road Highway is now open, following an earlier serious crash.
The two-vehicle crash, involving a ute and a motorcycle, occurred at around 1:15pm.
Two people were transported to hospital with critical injuries.
Police thank motorists for their patience while emergency services attended the scene.
