Police can confirm a person has died following a serious crash at Mangakino earlier today.
The one-vehicle crash was reported to Police at about 3.30am.
Another person involved in the crash has been transported to Rotorua Hospital with serious injuries.
The crash scene has been cleared and State Highway 30 is now open.
