Appointments – Cyber security firm SEQA appoints Paul Blowers as Head of Assurance Services

Paul Blowers has been appointed SEQA’s new Head of Assurance Services, effective 22 November, 2021. Mr Blowers is a highly respected industry veteran and security thought leader, who brings a wealth of industry experience and an entrepreneurial mindset that will continue to propel SEQA into the future.

Paul is excited to join the team at SEQA and continue the growth and momentum that SEQA is experiencing. His focus is squarely on delivering a quality outcome that assures business leaders, key stakeholders, and operations teams they can have full confidence in their services, systems, and applications.

“SEQA is well on its way to becoming the leading provider of cyber security and assurance services in New Zealand, and I am thrilled to join the company,” says Mr Blowers.

Paul has over 30 years’ of experience in governance, security (including cyber), risk, assurance, and privacy gained overseas in the United States and Europe, as well as in New Zealand. He has held a variety of leadership positions including Chief Information Security Officer for the New Zealand Police and is a qualified business change manager, SABSA architect, Information Security Manager and is PMP/PRINCE2 certified.

As founder of Hi-Spec Security in 2010, Paul developed organisational strategies, supported and led business transformation and change initiatives, managed programmes, and delivered technically complex operational projects for Government including in law enforcement and defence border security, and for the private sector – specifically, critical infrastructure and utility service providers.

With Paul’s experience and expertise we can continue to grow and offer our customers a total system of assurance from its inception and throughout its total life cycle,” says founder and Managing Director of SEQA, Mark Keegan.
