Police can confirm that one person has died in a crash in Selwyn this morning.
A truck and motorbike collided on the Rakaia River Bridge at 9.45am and sadly the driver of the motorbike has died.
The road is closed while the Serious Crash Unit examine the scene.
Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
