The iconic Browns Bay Christmas Parade attracts 10,000+ visitors yearly and has a reputation for being a fun family event that marks the start of the festive season on Auckland’s North Shore.
Spread the word and bring your whanau to town for a great day of celebrations, starting with Christmas craft markets in Phoenix Plaza from 10am.
You’re bound to find Christmas gift ideas galore. Relax on the beach; ice cream in the sun; coffee or lunch at the plethora of great cafes and eateries around town.
Live entertainment in the Plaza will keep your feet tapping until it’s time to find your prime position along the Parade route, which is being extended this year.
Be part of an enthusiastic, colourful procession of festive floats, bands, dancers, vehicles, magicians, as well as church, school and community groups in stunning festive costumes.
It’ll be a fun day in Browns Bay.
*** EXTENDED PARADE ROUTE ***
The new start/finish is at the northern end of Beachfront Lane. The procession moves along Beachfront Lane, turns right at the southern end on to Anzac Road, along Anzac Road, turning right into Glen Road, then along Glen Road and right into Bute Road, followed by a left into Clyde Road, parade past the Community Police Station and return to the northern end of Beachfront Lane, where it will finish.
