Police and emergency services are responding to a serious crash on State Highway 1, Otaika, Whangārei.
Police were called to the crash, involving a truck and a vehicle, just north of Loop Road, about 10am.
A passenger in the vehicle is being taken into hospital in a serious condition.
There were no other reported injuries.
Traffic management is in place and motorists are advised to expect significant delays.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
