Emergency services are responding to a single-vehicle crash on Tohunga Road (SH 49), just north of Ohakune.
Police were notified just after 12:30pm.
It appears a truck has rolled and one person has serious injuries.
The road is currently closed between SH 4 and Ayr Street, Ohakune, and diversions are in place.
Motorists are asked to exercise patience as they travel in this area.
