Police can now name the pedestrian who died after being struck by a car on State Highway 2, Western Hutt Road, on 18 May.
He was Christopher John Westbury, aged 41, from Lower Hutt (formerly of Feilding).
Police extend their sympathies to his family and loved ones.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
