Emergency services are currently responding to a serious crash between a car and a pedestrian on SH2, Western Hutt Road, near Grounsell Crescent.
Police were notified just before 10pm.
The injury status of those involved is yet to be confirmed.
SH2 is closed in both directions and diversions are in place.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
