Media are invited to attend the official opening of the Porirua Police Hub on Wednesday 10 February, 2021 from 9-11am.
Preparations for the event will begin on Tuesday afternoon, 9 February. The front counter of the Police Hub will remain open while a marquee is set up at the entrance.
The front counter will be closed to the public on Wednesday morning until 1pm.
While the official opening takes place, a Mobile Police Base will be stationed in the carpark across the street. Officers will be able to assist with any walk-in requests from the public.
There will be no impact on policing services to the Porirua community while the opening ceremony takes place.
Any media who wish to attend should RSVP with media@police.govt.nz by 12pm Tuesday 9 February.
Media should arrive at the front entrance of the Police Hub, 19 Heriot Drive by 8.45am and report to Inspector Nick Thom.
