With businesses facing big decisions, the Central Economic Development Agency has enlisted the help of Robin Stalker, former global Adidas Group CFO, who will lead a decision-making masterclass this Wednesday 27 May (5:30pm to 6:30pm).

“Our webinar on 27 May is not only an amazing opportunity to hear from a Manawatū success-story like Robin Stalker, but he offers a wealth of experience on how to manage a business through global disruption and challenging times,” says Linda Stewart, CEDA Chief Executive.

“Robin is one of our Te Aho Tāmaka Manawatū Leaders, an initiative to celebrate and connect with people who have their roots in Manawatū, and who have gone on to succeed nationally and internationally.

“Robin’s career has taken him from Palmerston North to Asia, the United States and now Europe.  His webinar will be informed by his experiences working for global brands like Warner Brothers International and Adidas, along with new ventures as well.

“He is still very much connected with Adidas by being a Director of its Dutch-based corporate investment arm, Hydra Ventures BV.

“If that is not enough, Robin is on the supervisory board of Commerzbank AG (Germany’s second-largest bank) and chairs the audit committee of manufacturer Schaeffler AG (revenues of over €14 billion (NZ$25 billion)).

“Robin knows New Zealand, he knows Manawatū and above all, he knows about good decision-making frameworks.  This includes social and environmental challenges which sit alongside the financial and economic.

“As we are anticipating a lot of interest, we are asking people to register via ManawatuNZ.co.nz for this Webinar because it is an exceptional opportunity that could really help your business in the current climate,” Ms Stewart said.
