The govt. calls for teacher goodwill.

Tēnā koe

You will have heard by now from the Prime Minister that the country is now in alert level 3, moving to alert level 4 in 48 hours.

That means only the children of essential workers will attend school from tomorrow and that all schools will close at the end of instruction on Wednesday.

The Minister of Education has asked for teachers’ goodwill over the next 48 hours to oversee the children of essential workers and to prepare on-line work.

We here at PPTA want to thank you for your work.

We back you to make the decision that is right for you about whether you go to work tomorrow and Wednesday.

PPTA staff will be working from home from tomorrow but will be available during work hours as usual. You can get in touch here: www.ppta.org.nz/contact-us.

I will be in touch again soon with more information and advice.

We will get through this with kindness, compassion and connection. We wish you all the very best.
