Emergency services are attending a gas main leak in Newmarket.
The line was damaged earlier today while earth works were being carried out in the area.
Khyber Pass has been closed between Crowhurst Street and Broadway, with nearby buildings evacuated as a precaution.
There are no reports of any injures.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area and to expect delays while the line is repaired.
ENDS.
