Police can now release the name of the man who died following a crash on Thornton Road on Sunday 5 October.
He was Daniel Paul Henriksen, 40, of Whakatane.
Police extend sympathies to Daniel’s family and friends.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
