State Highway 2 is closed at Tangoio following a serious crash between two vehicles.
Emergency services were called to the crash, near the White Pine Bush Reserve carpark, about 6:20pm.
There are serious injuries involved.
Motorists are asked to please avoid travelling this route for now, until appropriate diversions can be arranged.
The Serious Crash Unit will be attending the scene.
