Wellington, NZ (11 September 2024): Australasian real estate heavyweight Raine & Horne recently held its inaugural New Zealand Awards for Excellence as part of the group’s first Annual Conference. The awards celebrated the exceptional achievements from within the group as well as the successful integration of its existing offices and agents with the Mike Pero Real Estate network.

The event, hosted by Mr Angus Raine, Executive Chairman of Raine & Horne, and compered
by Mr Brendan Dooley, took place at the James Cook Grand Chancellor Hotel in Wellington. It marked a significant milestone in showcasing the integration of the Mike Pero Real Estate network into the Raine & Horne group following the widespread news of the official acquisition from Liberty Financial Group in April[i].

The conference, attended by over 100 real estate professionals, concluded with a spectacular black-tie gala awards night. A glowing giant Ampersand, the iconic symbol of Raine & Horne’s brand since its introduction in 1883, added a striking visual to the celebrations.

“I was truly humbled to host the first-ever national conference and awards event for our New Zealand team,” said Mr Raine.

“Seeing how our talented principals, agents, and property managers—both from Raine & Horne and Mike Pero—are uniting to provide unmatched value highlights the appetite for a major real estate brand in New Zealand.”

He added, “As a global leader in PropTech, marketing, training, and agency systems, we are aggressively approaching our New Zealand expansion. Our unique value proposition, including innovations like Amplify, our AI-driven marketing platform, and DigiKitPlus, our online appraisal tool, are resonating with principals across the country.”

Star principal Sheree Williams and her team from the newly integrated Southland office claimed the prestigious Office of the Year, highlighting her exceptional leadership and the smooth transition into the Raine & Horne group.

Mr Raine said, “Southland earned this award based on a combination of key factors, including their Gross Commission Income (GCI) over a period of five years, along with Sheree and her team’s positive attitude, active network engagement, participation in events, timely and accurate compliance, and their outstanding commitment to the brand.”

Raine & Horne Mount Maunganui, led by Paul Billinghurst, was also recognised as the Top Office for GCI.

Ms Williams continued her impressive run in the individual award categories, securing first place in the Top Producer category for GCI. She also claimed the Top Seller (Sales Units) title. Ms Bernadette Griffiths from Raine & Horne Mount Maunganui was named Top Producer (GCI) among the existing Raine & Horne offices, as well as Top Seller (Sales Units).

The Parklands team also scored some major victories with Ms Tina Lawson and Mr Nick McIsaac-Luke taking the awards for Top Producer (GCI) and Top Sales Units in both team categories and Ani Tapa was awarded first place in the Growth Award category.

Renowned principal Mr Mehdi Zerhouni of Raine & Horne Wairarapa scored the Principal’s Award (Sales Units & GCI), while Raine & Horne Waihi, also led by Mr Billingshurst, scored the Top Property Management Office gong.
