Nelson Police have arrested one person after executing a number of search warrants in Tahunanui and central Nelson yesterday.

The warrants were in relation to complaints of intimidation and taking of property across the area.

A 36-year-old man has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Nelson District Court on 23 September, charged with aggravated robbery.

Police work hard to ensure the community is safe from the impacts of crime, and take every report seriously, regardless of who reported an incident, or who is involved.

Some of the stolen property, including motor vehicles and electronic goods, has been recovered.

Anyone with information in relation to any criminal offending is urged to contact Police by calling 105.

Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
