Media invitation: Welcome mihi whakatau for Wellington’s new constables + stand-up

Wellington District will hold a mihi whakatau for newly graduated constables starting in Wellington District on Monday.

Ten new constables are being deployed to Wellington’s Community Beat Teams.

Media are invited to observe the mihi whakatau and attend a brief stand-up afterward, where there will be an opportunity to talk to Police Commissioner Andrew Coster and Police Minister Mark Mitchell about Community Beat Teams in Wellington.

Following the stand-up, media will be able to speak with a beat team sergeant and gather photos and footage of a beat team pair.
