Attributable to Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Neilson:
A forensic examination of the human remains found at a Hilcrest property on Tuesday 18 June has determined they are pre-European.
Police will not be investigating the matter further and the remains will be exhumed in consultation with local iwi.
